Loved the game! Spent hours playing it and finished the game with all the weapons. The only thing i wanted for this game was more stages and be able to throw the throwing knife up. It's one of the best games i played on Itch.io.
I love the classic visual design of this game (especially fullscreen with scanlines and CRT filter)! And having the player's shots wrap the edges of the screen is such a simple idea, but adds so much to the gameplay. It is the perfect blend between fun and challenge when played with a controller! I'm using Xpadder to play it with my wireless Xbox 360 pad. Without it, I'd probably be in an emergency room getting my fingers amputated! LOL
While I haven't made it far yet, dying just before the second boss, Demon Burst is super fun and definitely captures the look and feel of playing a classic style game. From the unforgiving enemy placement and camera related deaths to the fun of using the screen wrap to my advantage, the whole game oozed nostalgia.
This was really great! I loved the art style and retro vibe in the game and even though I wasn't any good at playing I enjoyed it a lot. The different characters and the music created a great atmosphere and overall this was a very fun and challenging game :D
I don't know if you've heard of Game Development World Championship before (gdwc2019) but it's a competition for indie game developers where they can submit their games and it's free! It's great if you want some more visibility for the game and it only takes a couple of minutes to join :)
Yes, I plan to upload desktop versions soon. I'm just waiting to be able to make some improvements and fix some bugs. It takes some time to upload so I want to have a better build first =)
